We’re astoundingly un-average.
We like to think of ourselves as just about the opposite of your run-of-the-mill retirement community; although we can’t speak highly enough about our people and services, one of the best parts of living here is the eclectic and exhilarating Portland scene waiting for you the moment you step outside.
It all starts with a sniff.
Picture this: a cool breeze floats through your window, bringing with it the aroma of freshly baked bread. Intrigued, you cross the street to visit the South Waterfront Farmers Market, located in Elizabeth Caruthers Park, where you chat with local farmers and artisans. Afterward, you might catch up with friends in the park, which is full of lush greenery and plenty of areas to stop and chat. Before you know it, you’ve spent a leisurely day in the company of old and new friends, all because of a delicious smell.
Calling all green thumbs.
We’re pleading guilty to the tree-hugger accusations. But hey, in such a beautiful city surrounded by mountains, rivers, and foliage, who wouldn’t? After a long day of educational seminars, working out with friends, or trying new hobbies, the South Waterfront Greenway, a park and walking path located only a few steps away from Mirabella Portland, will be a breath of fresh air. Or you could get lost in the beautiful trails and gorgeous views of Marquam Nature Park.
Our community takes pride in caring for the place we call home, which is why South Waterfront has the most residential towers with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certifications from the U.S. Green Building Council of any neighborhood in the nation. Sound like your kind of terrain? We think you’d be right in your element.
The door is open; the city awaits!
Ready to find out what makes Portland so unique? Discover the things that put our city on the map, like Powell’s Books, settle the debate over who makes the best pizza in the world (is it Gladstone Street Pizza or maybe Ken’s Artisan Pizza?), or experience things you couldn’t anywhere else, like the World Forestry Center, a museum dedicated to educating and informing people about the world’s forests and trees.
Direct (and futuristic) access to outstanding medical care.
Riding in a floating tram with an unbeatable view of the Portland skyline might sound like something straight out of a science fiction movie, but the Portland Aerial Tram is 100% real and only a block away from Mirabella Portland. It also serves as a direct line to Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), so you can enjoy the peace of mind that comes with easy access to a nationally recognized medical research center.
